Nouveaux cheveux, yet again!

Les gens qui me connaissent savent à quel point je suis incapable de garder le même style de cheveux très longtemps et qu’à chaque fois que je revient de chez la coiffeuse, j’ai une nouvelle tête! L’Australie ne fait pas exception. Heureusement, nous avons trouvé le parfait salon de coiffure à Broadbeach, le Golds Barber Shop. Tous le monde est vraiment sympathiques et les prix sont raisonnables (si on prend en considération qu’on est en Australie).

People that know me are aware that I can’t get myself to keep the same hairstyle for very long, basically everytime I come back from the hairdresser, it’s a complete makeover! Well, it’s not different in Australia. Thankfully, we found the perfect hair salon in Broadbeach, the Golds Barber Shop. Everybody is super friendly and the prices are good (if you keep in mind that your in Australia).

Kim Churchill … Take me now!

Je vais partager un secret avec vous … je suis en amour depuis presque un an déjà… en amour avec un incroyable musicien australien, Kim Churchill. Notre histoire a commencé au Festival de Jazz de Montréal et depuis je n’ai jamais cessé d’écouter sa musique. C’est certain que si j’ai la chance d’aller le voir en concert, comme c’étais le cas ce soir dans le cadre du « Blues on Broadbeach festival », je n’hésite pas une seconde ! Pluie pas pluie, je n’aurais certainement pas manqué ça! 

I’m going to share a secret with you … I am deeply in love, for almost a year now … with an amazing Australian musician, Kim Churchill. We crossed paths at the Montreal Jazz Festival last summer. Since then, I never stopped listenning to his music and I’m always very happy to go watch him in concert like I did tonight! He was performing for the Blues on Broadbeach Festival, who cares if it’s raining, no chance I’m missing out!

Mon coeur bat pour le Mecca Bah

Un petit mardi tranquille à travailler, dormir … et visiter des appartements! Comme nous étions à Broadbeach, on s’est dit pourquoi pas en profiter pour essayer le restaurant Moyen-Orientale trop mignon qu’on avait reperé la dernière fois. Après la plus grosse commande de mezze jamais vue, on s’est mise d’accord, le Mecca Bah est notre nouveau numéro 1!

Just the usual tuesday … working, sleeping … and going appartement hunting! We were in Broadbeach so we figured why not make the most of it and try that cute Middle Eastern restaurant we saw the other time. After the biggest order of mezze … we definitely agree : best restaurant we’ve tried so far!

Shenanigans au Shingle Inn

Mes journées de congé sont finalement arrivés et ce matin nous en avons profité pour essayer un des cafés sur Oracle Blvd. à Broadbeach, Le Shingle Inn. Grâce à des tactiques de guerres infaibles, nous avons réussi à accumuler trois coupons pour café gratuit, c’est dommage on va devoir y retourner … mouhahaha!

My days off are finally here and this morning we decided to try Shingle Inn, one of the Oracle Blvd. coffee shop in Broadbeach. Thanks to our warrior tactical moves we manage to get three free coffee coupons, I guess we’ll have to go back … mouhahaha!
